Maestro for Non-KNX applications and Maestro OEM
Maestro’s features are generic and suitable for a wide range of applications.
If you encounter the need to connect different systems with different communication protocols and even distributed systems where different sites need to be linked and you need control and data processing, with a friendly user interface for the end-user, we shall be happy to help and provide a solution.
At the heart of our system is the Maestro whose features can be broken down into three main categories:
Open Graphical User Interface
Extremely flexible, including free graphics such as architectural charts, technical plans, dozens of button types, data history graphs etc. The interface enables control and monitoring as well as a varied method for entering commands and data. The interface to the end-user is made through an application for iOS, Android and Windows. Each Maestro controller may support more than 64 active users simultaneously, locally or even remotely over the Internet.
Advanced Logic
Maestro incorporates a Function Block Controller to provide dozens of various functions to perform logic, control and math operations. It will allow building a control system and algorithms in a simple and intuitive way using Drag and Drop. If necessary, the Maestro Designer application enables the integrator to use a programming language and implement extremely complex operations.
Communication and Interface between Systems
The Maestro operating system incorporates many protocols such as: KNX, DMX, MODBUS and others. In addition, the Maestro Designer S/W application provides the most powerful tools for writing two–way communication protocols at the highest and most reliable level. Maestro allows systems and products in different protocols to communicate with each other and practically unite different systems into an integrative unit whose parts work in harmony. Maestro also allows voice control through Alexa and GOOGLE.
One of the protocols that MAESTRO supports is the MQTT protocol. This iOT protocol allows many Maestro controllers to communicate with each other in real time, even over the Internet, and allows control, monitoring, data collection and processing of distributed systems that are deployed across multiple sites in the cloud or local server.
These Maestro features: system communication, multiple systems integration, advanced logic and the ability to combine local / distributed processing capability and control with central control at the same time, while making everything accessible to the end user through a flexible and friendly UI makes it a system of choice for a wide range of applications in many areas. e.g. as a smart home and building automation but also in the industry and in what is defined as the iOT world and the sky is the limit.
If you are an integrator, manufacturer, contractor, entrepreneur, or any entity that sees the possibility / need for harnessing Maestro’s features into your projects and
if you are also interested to cut down on costs yet improving performance as compared to other existing solutions – we would love to work with you on this and make you an offer.
We are open to providing unique and ‘out-of-the-box’ solutions that are tailored to client requirements including ad hoc solutions that include dedicated software and hardware. Our solutions come with uncompromising reliability, high performance forcing no quantity limitations and usually enable significant cost reductions as well.
Maestro’s features have repeatedly enabled our customers to provide exceptional attractive and competitive solutions without compromising quality and reliability.
Example of collaborating with customers in finding dedicated solutions:
Street Lighting Control System
Collaboration with a contracting company that provides lighting systems for roads and cities.
The contractor’s systems include electrical panels where each panel controls and monitors multiple lighting pols and on each major road / city a large number of such panels.
The control solution provided for these projects is based on Maestro controllers that are installed at the regional power boards.
The Maestro controls the I/O controllers that installed at the power boards (also developed and supplied by CD Innovation). The I/O controllers turn on the lighting and monitor various sensor inputs. In addition, Maestro is connected to a multifunctional power meter through MODBUS communication and monitors the energy consumption.
An urban system typically incorporates about 100 to 200 such electrical panels.
All the Maestro controllers that are assembled on the local boards are interconnected using the MQTT protocol (iOT protocol) encrypted over the Internet and enable centralized monitoring and control.
Key Features – Communication capabilities for different protocol systems and local control integration including I/O controllers and MQTT integration for central control.
Scope of the projects – 100-200 boards per main road / municipality, each board incorporates Maestro controller and a number of I/O controllers.
Smart Home Integration Systems
In these projects, collaboration was established with a developer who builds saturated construction projects.
The developer provides buyers with a smart home system in every apartment as part of the standard spec. These projects include Maestro and I/O controllers (also developed and supplied by CD Innovation).
The I/O controllers are used as controllers for inputs/outputs and as dry contact inputs from conventional switches. In addition, “smart” switches by DHL BUSPRO were integrated into the project.
User interface is via SMART PHONE / TABLET. Maestro allows many features such as running through schedules, macros, local and remote control using the app, etc. …
Key features – Cost optimization achieved by combining smart switches with conventional switches and competitive I/O controllers.
Scope of the projects – 60 to 500 apartments in each project.
OEM for hotel room control
Hotel room control system for a manufacturer dealing with hotel room systems.
The manufacturer’s system includes the smart switches and peripherals as well as the required room controllers for room control. The maestro connects to the manufacturer’s system using the Modbus protocol, which allows logic built between the switches and the I/0 controllers providing the hotel guests to graphically interface using a Tablet.
Key Features – Modbus Communication and the Manufacturer’s System upgrade by adding Maestro’s inherent advanced features.
Scope of the project – Hundreds of Maestro OEM controllers per each hotel.
